Anna Pers Bräcke selected for Young Swedish Design

News: Feb 08, 2018

Ung Svensk Form is an arena for young design. The project was created with the aim of increasing the knowledge and widening the scope of new, innovative Swedish design; helping it reach new audiences.

Anna Pers Bräckes contribution is called Fett, Fett. The motivation: “Illustrations with organic, tactile qualities – that don’t beg for pardon. Instead, they help themselves in a very relevant topic.”

HDK alumni Sophie Hardy, who was awarded the first Kvadrat scholarship of Young Swedish Design last year, will also paticipate in the exhibition with Object of Value. The motivation: “Chipboard Caesar stool in peasant style. ‘I, Claudius’ meets Selma Lagerlöf in Värmland – what was previously a basket is now an imperial stool. We see a new and materially frugal way of using chip-crafting techniques that are highly relevant today and may allow for the making of large volumes.”

Other participants: Linnea Olmarken, Jennifer Bergkvist, Emma Brålander, Kristin Larsson, Mariana Silva Varela, Ida Pettersson, Isa Andersson, Victor Alge, Andrej Maiinin, Matilda Noberg, Josefine Gennert Jakobsson, Julia Westerberg, Martina Skyttberg, Kyung-Jin CHO, Emelie Kasholm, Anna Sjöberg Malin Berglund, Helen Runting, Anne Mette Agga Stage, Joel Fjällström & Rebecca Petrini, Hemmo Honkonen, Alecsander Rothschild, Daniela Juvall, Per Nadén, Björn Friborg, Amanda Borgfors Mészàros, Alvina Jakobsson, Benedetta Crippa and Anton Kolbe.
