Back to the roots

Based upon my memories and with inspiration from things such as architecture, crafts and local history, I have gone back to my roots and re-discovered the place where I grew up. For my thesis project I have chosen to tell my own story and interpret it into a chair as a tribute to my Dalarna, in particular, the Borlänge region where I grew up.

The result is a chair made in steel and with leather seating. 

Med utgångspunkt från mina minnen och med inspiration från bland annat arkitektur, hantverk och lokalhistoria har jag gått tillbaka till mina rötter och återupptäckt platsen där jag växte upp. Jag har som examensarbete önskat berätta min egen historia och tolkat detta i en sittmöbel som en hyllning till mitt Dalarna, i synnerhet då Borlänge-regionen där jag är uppväxt.

Resultatet, en stol i linoljebränt stål med lädersits.
