“The urban man”

 is the main theme of my work designing wallpapers.

The idea came to me during a trip to various cities in Europe last summer. I discovered estetical uncontrolled urban forms which facinated me. This experience was strengthen when I spent two weeks in New York in late december last year. Back at school I decided to try to tell a story about this world in a figurative way expressed in forms of patterns on wall-papers. I wanted to visualize the chaotic confrontation between man, nature and the urban pulse and threat.

Was it possible to design and manufacture wall-papers expressing the tense relation between the uncontrolled urban situation, which fascinated me, versus the controlled estetic forms in design?
