ett bordkoncept för mindre bostadsytor

Stella is a table concept created from today’s housing situation. With current apartment prices, one are certainly not getting much for the money judged by square metre. People constantly become urban and increasingly appreciate short distances. To live central has become more vital and the urban lifestyle prioritizes a smaller apartment in the centre, rather than a house in the outskirt or a large and expensive flat.

The table is created out of the target groups three needs; dining, work and guests. It creates through shape and functionality new possibilities for people on smaller living surfaces. The table is simply transformed from a clean dining table to a workplace. Extension leaves can be placed on each side and by it’s full length, the table also create space for a greater audience, on regular days or for a party.

Stella är ett bordkoncept skapat utifrån dagens bostadssituation. Med dagens lägenhetspriser får man inte mycket för pengarna, åtminstone inte kvadratmetermässigt. Eftersom människor blir mer urbana och värdesätter korta avstånd blir det allt viktigare att bo centralt. Den urbana livsstilen prioriterar en mindre lägenhet i centrum framför ett hus i utkanten av staden eller en stor dyr lägenhet.
Bordet har formgivits utifrån målgruppens tre behov; måltider, arbete och gäster. Det skapar genom form och funktion nya möjligheter för de som bor på mindre ytor. Bordet förvandlas enkelt från ett stilrent matbord till en arbetsplats. Tilläggsskivor kan placeras på varsin sida av bordet och ger vid sin fulla längd plats för ett större sällskap, till vardag och fest.
