INSTRUCTIONS FOR PORTFOLIO

BFA Programme in Textile – Body - Space
- starting autumn semester 2017

Your application is complete when you have formally applied and submitted your portfolio. Here's important information on how to apply and how the admission process works.

The portfolio is submitted digitally in the DAP system, www.dap.hdk.gu.se

 

The portfolio should include:

  1. CV (max 2 000 letters)
    1 slide
     
  1. Letter of intent: A personal letter that describes your choice and expectations of the programme.
    1 slide
     
  1. Ten (10) sketches, drawings and paintings, including three (3) life drawings (croquis).
    4 slides
     
  1. At least 5 photos of work/objects you have designed and made yourself in the material textile. Add information about material, size and year for each object.
    3 slides
     
  1. Urgent and important to me:
    Think about your own textile role models and your inspiration in textile that is important to you. Choose someone that is urgent for you and work inspired by this. Make your own decision how to present the result. Add information about material, size and year for each object.

  1. Use the phrase “It feels like home…” as a starting point in a three-dimensional work. Place the work in an environment or room in a way that you find interesting. Take photos of this as well as details. Add information about material, size and year for each object.

Assessment

Your application is assessed based on the following criteria:

  • Material knowledge and craft skills
  • Artistic development potential
